Yard Fabrication Manager

Brief description
The incumbent will be responsible for the overall manufacturing of structural elements and facility units for the FSRU and LNG Carrier (“LNGC”) Terminal in offsite fabrication yard of this Project.  The incumbent is required to ensure that the design, procurement, construction and commissioning works are satisfactory and matched with construction progress of the LNG Terminal.
  • Implement, manage and monitor related Safety, Health, Environment and Quality System of the project to comply with project and statutory requirements;
  • Act as focal point of communication and coordination with all expertise in areas of  the structural elements and facility units of FSRU and LNGC Jetty.
  • Review and comment EPC Contractor’s method statement, shop drawing, quality control plan, temporary work design, safety plan, etc. to ensure the fabrication work complying with approved design, performance specifications and operation requirements;
  • Manage and supervise the team to provide qualified supervision on quantity surveying, progress monitoring, quality control and safety monitoring throughout the whole process
  • Monitor the fabrication workflow and ensure timely and accurate project progress;
  • Provide recommendations, input and direction as required to facilitate progress and achieve a fitness for purpose technical package;
  • Frequent travel is required.
Key Competencies/ What’s desired?
  • A recognized University degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Construction Management or other related disciplines;
  • Possess professional qualification from university or other recognized engineering professional bodies;
  • A minimum of 10 years relevant experience in LNG facilities, offshore jetty mechanical facilities, FSRU interface or oil and gas terminal including site supervision of large and multi-disciplinary projects;
  • Experience in an operational LNG facility; commissioning phase for an LNG facility, offshore jetty mechanical facility; Pre FEED, FEED and EPC Phases of a project, preferably on the same project;
  • Strong communication, leadership and organizing skills;
  • Good written and spoken English. Proficient in Cantonese / Mandarin would be advantage.
